Try Out Tournament

I've come up with a great idea. Broken Sword will be hosting a tournament slightly after the release of the game. We
will not have it during the World Preview because we would like to use that time to gather information and test out the game
for ourselves. In this tournament we will have several players playing ( as many as possible ) and the 1st and 2nd place person
will be accepted into our guild. The number of players accepted might change from now ( and probably will ) to a higher number.
Now this is not just for recruiting, if you are just looking to have fun you may but just let us know that prior to the tournament.
We will be accepting people into the tournament from now until the release of Guild Wars. E-mail us if you are interested.

reading?! I told that was all the news for today. I got nothing. What's wrong with you? Do you want me to break the NDA or
something? I can't tell you anything else. Go on... shoo. Move along, nothing to see here. You think I'm going to put in a
hidden message or something? It seems Mike's weapons got nerfed. He logged in to find his
bow reduced in offense. There's also a new attribute requirement for weapons. If you don't meet the requirement, you won't
be able to use the weapon to its full effect. But I guess it's a fair change, because now wands do ranged attacks. In other
words, weapons are going through significant revisions. J
 For those of you that don't know, I have a friend named Mike that plays in the GuildWars Alpha Test. He plays a Primary
Mesmer in The GuildWars Alpha. The Mesmer happens to be 1 of my favourite characters. It's not because of 'Fast
Casting'. It's not because of 'Illusion Magic'. It's not because 'Backfire' 'pwns' casters. It's because Mesmers look cool.
However, ArenaNet went and changed things on us. Mike's black tuxedo look has been altered. It's now a dark purple and black.
If you check out the Screen Clip #3, you can see how the wardrobe is constantly being refined. While I miss the tuxedo look, I like the new look better. It's
pretty suave. Mesmers - the most sophisticated looking profession in the game. J
 Words cannot describe my frustration. I wandered into a local game store, to ask about the Guild Wars Pre-Order. They had
no idea what I was talking about. Bewildered, I left. Well, not before I bought a pair of fuzzy dice. Nothing calms me down
like seeing video game characters swinging from my rearview mirror. I went to other video game stores in my area. They
didn't know much about Guild Wars either. WTF!?! GuildWars.com updated their Pre-Order FAQ. It explains the situation. Hopefully, by sometime next week, some more people might actually know what Guild Wars is. Apparently,
not everyone in the world visits GuildWars.com. L
 There's not much to talk about in the Guild Wars community today. Things are slowly picking up though in the development department.
Really, the only the only thing to talk about is Fansite Friday. Fansite Friday is moving right along. It's now up to #15.
You can check it out at the European site - Jeux Online. And well that's just about it. LoL.
 It's a nice week to be a Ranger fan. First you have the new lost in Khylo toon, which was about Ranger Pets. Now you have a new Ranger Wallpaper. If you recall, the Ranger was voted the most popular profession. The Guildwars.com profession poll had 914 out 3674 votes
going to the Ranger. If there was a least favorite bug poll, how many would vote spider? A new screenshot entitled " Arachnophobes Beware" was posted at GuildWars.com. If you don't like spiders, then you might not want to look. Hide your eyes!
Tar Strider

 What is that pet, an Ostrich? You might remember the bird from last week's video teaser, it is called a Tar Strider. There's a new clip now. It's from the qualifying round of PvP - The Tomb of Primeval Kings. And I still haven't recived my pre-oder package yet...dam EB Games can't get any dates right, i'm so pissed off
because I want my package! Oh yah, the Guild Wars World Premiere Event client is now available. You can't play with it yet, but i'll let you in on a little secret, if you press ctrl+shift+H in the main menu, it
becomes a screensaver. J
 Can you feel that? I sure can. It's the winds of change. The Guild Wars Preview Box has shipped. What does this mean
exactly? ArenaNet posted a press-release to explain things. If you still don't understand, there's an FAQ explaining the Pre-Order, the World Premiere Event and the Beta Test. Action is approaching. As I've previously mentioned, Broken
Sword is gearing up for this event as well. I am so happy that this has finally come. Now i will get to enjoy GW for
2 days am month, lol. And i will be able to enjoy it ever time I look at the lovely poster that comes in the pre-order
box. Well at least I hope it is. Any ways who do you think I should give my Friend account password to joinme for a weekend

 Are you counting down the weekends until the Guild Wars World Premiere event? I know I am. There's not enough time for me
to get ready. I am planning on having some cool gw.brokenswordguild.tripod.com content, just in time for the event. In
the meantime, there is some cool content for you to see right now! Woo hooo! For starters, Guild Wars posted a video teaser
- When Birds Attack! Also, Fansite Friday is now up to #14. And very good news has come from the interview at gamespot. The dev said that GW is almost done, meaning it should
come out late 2004 and not Feb. 2005 like EB games says. Those dam liers. O well hopefully it was be this year cuz
I'm getting it the very first day. Oh yah, I also have some good news from the Alpha Testing. Henchmen are in the
game and they are cool! J

Oooooohhhhhh noooooo! Where's the Wallpaper Wednesday? This week, Wallpaper Wednesday has become Wallpaper Thursday.
